Mr. Mohammed Kahiyeh Kalif has over 30 years of commercial and development financial institutions experience, including risk management, business development and corporate banking relationship management. He is strong in analytical and conceptual skills with proven ability in the development and direction of organization, business and processes involving a diverse and complex range of partners and stakeholders including commercial entities, governments, multilateral and bi-lateral agencies. He has depth in knowledge of leadership and coaching skills with proven track record of building partnership and delivering results that meet the needs of stakeholders. He is versatile and an expert in dialoguing and negotiating with diverse stakeholders in a cross-cultural environment on sensitive and complex issues; an attribute he picked because of the experience garnered working around the globe; America, Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Kalif is an American/Somali indigene. He has an MBA from the University of Dallas, Texas, USA and a B.A. Finance from University of Central Oklahoma, USA. He started his banking career with Bright Bank, Dallas USA in 1985, later joined Riyad Bank, Saudi Arabia and subsequently Mashreb Bank, Dubai before leaving to join African Development Bank as Chief Risk Officer, a position held for years. He later Joined the Private Sector department as the Division Manager, Financial Institution and Inclusion. He is representing the African Development Bank on the Board.
