Kano MSME Workshop 2023

The MSME workshop in partnership with SDF and KCCI held in Kano was an eye-opening event for the MSME’s in Kano. The event has raised awareness on the mandates of the Development Bank of Nigeria and its commitment to financing business through provision of loans to MSMEs. The Development Bank of Nigeria also highlighted the onboarding of Non-Interest Banks such as JAIZ and TAJ Bank to bridge the financial divide that had for too long held the region back. The event has raised the hope of entrepreneurs that the Development Bank of Nigeria is committed to  enhancing the future of the MSMEs in kano and the northern region at large.

The sector’s importance has also been recognized by the Federal Government which has organized several projects, such as the planned $500 million Nigeria Innovation Programme and the $20million BOI tech fund, to fund the sector.
